Description
This filter simulates North American style asphalt roofing shingles.It utilizes a stripped down version of the 'Zoomer' snippet by Uberzev to enlarge the size of the shingles.There are two shingle types represented, the elongated and the shorter version. Use the 'Shingle type' checkbox to pick the type you want.The 'Distort Edges' slider will make just the shingle edges distort a small amount to give a worn, aged or irregular look.No attempt was done to make shingle caps, flashing or any other roofing material here.The color controls vary the mix of the color of the shingles. Changing a single color control may not vary the effect very much, so play around for the final color combination you want. American asphalt shinges do come in various colors, but they tend to be very low-key, subdued. So, use the color controls sparingly, especially when going brighter
