SpaceRay ... Sorry it took me awhile to get to your filter .... I am on dial-up and usually only download once a week using the library's WiFi ... I missed this the last time, but got it today and I find it is quite good for making backgrounds. I find that I have to adjust the Color Balance and Saturation after I apply it. I like changing the web to a different color. This one I call "Guts" ....

Nice textures background you have done. This filter can transform very much the source and you can get curious and strange textures and backgrounds.
Oh, it´s not a problem, and do not to be sorry for this, the good is that you finally got it and that you like it and could be useful for you.
Oh yes, I have found the same problem with some images that do not get right after applying this filter, so I have made an update with more adjustment controls for this and have already uploaded it. Here is a new example of a town through this filter ![]() |

Thanks very much specially coming from you. Glad you like it.
Yes happily this is a fast filter as I have tried to keep the components at minimum and only use the ones that are suggested to get it faster. |

Thanks Sharandra.
Try this with some photos or images and get curious and unexpected results changing the settings GOOD NEWS - NEW MUCH BETTER UPDATED FILTER Thanks to Sharandra I remembered that I still had to upd ate this filter, and now I have done it and now I have added more control se ttings, and now you can control either black or white web lines and configure the amount and size in different ways. Also the most interesting update is the added Web Curve Editor that will let you have even more complex and detailed organic webs and be able to mix the black web with white webs, or make them all white with less black and much more. Also if you do not like much organic curves, I have added a geometric lines activator that will change all organic to straight geometric lines and if used right can give curious and nice results. I have also made much better presets than what before was available as there was not enough ways to customize |

![]() ![]() ![]() The new version I like it much better than the first one and now really you can get much more combinations and gives much better quaility and more beautiful webs and can now really customize much better all the design And also the "next variant" also is better (although of course would be perfect IF you could have control locks and only randomize the settings that YOU WANT and NOT ALL of them as it happens now. I like how you can get now a mix of white and black webs using the new Web Curve Editor as shown here AND now you can have control of both white and black lines ![]() And also more complex webs with more quality and more parts and better effect ![]() and with the new settings you can control the width and amount of the lines and webs and you are able to make things like this shown here that was not possible before ![]() And the new Geometric web feature that if the size is not too small it can look good ![]() and using the next variant with a good and right source image can give beautiful results with any of the above settings Also I have to say that none of the examples shown here are really showing right the good things that you can get with OTHER DIFFERENT source images than the FF built in. Will have to put some examples that show it better. |

See at the end of this post and example I have made with colorful stripes as source and using the preset 4 that uses the difference blend mode.
I have made a new upd ate to this filter to make it better and make in some way more organic webs without unwanted results as it happened sometimes before with some se tting values combinations This is done with the new checkbox "Smooth - Erase Holes" Before sometimes there has happened that there were some holes in the web design and maybe you like them, but if you did not like them, there were no way to remove them, I have found a way to do it, is not perfect as it will also modify slightly the design, but it works in some way, try it and see how it works for you. I have reorganized the presets and shown them better, and moved the examples shown in the previous post above here to the top and although I kept nearly all the presets, I have also optimized them. I have included also preset 9 showing the organic tangled web WITHOUT any source image with white background. NOW YOU ARE ABLE TO PUT ANY SIZE RESOLUTION Before the filter used ONLY the main image loading of sources and this way you CAN´T resize the result of the filter because it will always be the same resolution as the original source. Now I have included the option to CHOOSE between Main image source and also color control, and so if you want to have the same source BUT want to change the resolution of the result you can do it when loading the source image through the color control instead of main ![]() |

Thanks, SpaceRay. This is one of my favorite filters to play around with. I love the tangled web look and also the chunky ropey look it produces. Here it is applied to the default preset of the Autumn filter by Ramlyn with a couple of spiders thrown in.
