WOW!! This is really COOL and like it very much, is surprising how simply this filter is done BUT gives such a great, awesome and beautiful results and the very well done difference in heights and highlights and shadows that you can get.

Love much the effect of the squares and the glow like lighting, and how is all done

and here is one I have made myself with this settings and in this one is also important the settings in the lighting tab, and I have raised the brightness to 388 and Surface height to 80.

This filter surely is a great candidate to be expanded and made even better and with more features and I can have some possible suggestions that you could make and add:

1 - Add a multicolor gradient where you could mix two colors or three colors

2 - Add a spectrum component to add a rainbow color gradient to all the squares and cubes.

3 - Have also other possible shapes as rectangles, triangles and circles for example.

4 - Add a blend mode for images to be overlaid over this great and awesome texture you have created.

Here I show one possible way to add the 4th point suggestion in an easy way

I have put the opacity setting at 100 so the blend mode is better shown

Of course that the above are only suggestion and is up to you to decide if you would like to put them in your filter or not, as this is your own creation.

I think that it would be even more useful and great, and would like to use this without having to modify the filter so you do not loose the usage rank rewards as you deserve them much for having made this beauty

Sorry if I have modified your filter and you perhaps do not like it, but as said this is a pity to leave it as it now and although it is really great and awesome is much better if you add at least the point 4 of my suggestion, BUT as said above it is always up to you to do it or not.

I would like much better that I could use the filter without modifying it so you could get your deserved usage rank.

The update is already available! Thanks very much for making it. I will se how it works

I have also thought that this metal squares can be used as a source for others FF filters, I mean that you can render the result from this filter as plain metal squares (as shown on the first preset) and then you can add more textures or modify the edges borders or whatever with other FF filters.
