Again, I'd love to get some feedback on this filter. It helps smooth out the underlying uneven skintone in some portraits. Rather than blemishes, which are easy enough to fix with spot healing or any number of tools, this filter fixes the deeper layers of uneven tone. It's really great for blotchy skin or infant portraits! Thanks, guys smile:)

Show some examples of it in action on the forums! smile:) I otherwise get what you've intended it for.

Unfortunately, I don't have any blotchy skin photos of my own to try this filter on. I tried the default presets out on a photo of a small child with normal skin. The original skin was actually fine and there was nothing to fix, so the filter had nothing to correct and I wasn't able to estimate what the benefit would be on a blotched skin photo. The default presets did lighten some shadow areas, so your instructions to mask out shadow areas were spot on.

I will keep this filter in mind for when I come across a photo needing the specific correction. I can see what a great result you got on the blotchy baby photo you posted in the Jaundice Buster thread. smile:)

Here is a photo I just grabbed off the internet- I don't have any rights to it so please don't sue me! It shows 4 steps- the original photo, the first step in the filter (highlighting the areas to be corrected), the filtered photo, and another filtered photo I ran through a second time (using the 1st filtered photo) to be able to catch a different level of detail & further refine it.

This kind of smooths out the skin at a level before you go in and correct blemishes and such. It's pretty cool- hope you enjoy it!
