Here I have finally submitted this filter to the FF online library and this is the first version that has simple controls and easy to use settings
I will make another extended and more complex version of this that you will be able to make more cool and curious things with the stripes. Please see below in this thread for the following: 1 - After the quote, WHY sometimes 11 stripes is much better than 10 stripes 2 - Instructions, tips and hints on how to use better this filter 3 - Examples made with this filter
You may have seen that I already have seven different versions of 10 stripes filters and so you may wonder why I should make an 11 stripes version? well, as the answer is not short, I have explained in this other thread and will copy it to here below 11 images or Colors stripes experiments using different components In this thread above I will put also alternatives and experiments made with this filter WHY 11 STRIPES IS BETTER THAN 10 SOMETIMES? When making the first10 stripes filter I found that it is not always good to have only 10 stripes, as for some posibles designs, it would need 11 FIRST REASON - For example if you are using only 2 images and want to distribute them alternatively on the stripes, it will not work right as you need 5 stripes of one and 6 stripes for the other ![]() As you can see above all the kingfisher image is well done on 6 stripes with 5 stripes of the Lionfish, and this is not posible if you only have 10 stripes SECOND REASON is that having 11 stripes is well balanced when you look at it sometimes because you can have a design with: 1 central stripe and 5 stripes on each side 1 outer stripe + 4 inner stripes + 1 central stripe + 4 inner stripes + 1 outer stripe 1 outer stripe + 3 inner stripes + 3 inner stripes + 3 inner stripes + 1 outer stripe ![]() In the example above can´t see well the 3 stripes example, but here I have made another example that shows it better with 9 stripes with 3 similar tones each one and 2 stripes with different color THIRD REASON - So here is balanced with the 9 inner stripes with 3 tones each and 2 outer colors, and in the 10 stripes colors you can´t have this I know that one of the orange is really yellow and not an orange tone, but is similar in some way ![]() 4th REASON WHY 11 IS BETTER THANK 10 IN THIS DESIGN There is another design that is not possible to make if you only have 10 stripes and is very similar to the first one but with colors instead of all images You can have 6 color stripes with 5 inner images, or have 6 images with 5 colors ![]() 5th EXAMPLE Another design that shows that using 11 stripes gives a balanced and good design is like this below wh ere you have one central stripe and then 5 stripes on each side in different sizes ![]() 6TH EXAMPLE I have another design that is not possible using 10 stripes 5 image stripes using 2 color stripes inbetween at each side (2x3=6) = 11 ![]() 7TH EXAMPLE This is similar to the above but using 6 image stripes and 5 color alternative stripes that would not be possible with 10 stripes ![]() See below for: 2 - Instructions, tips and hints on how to use better this filter 3 - Examples made with this filter |
