This filters looks good and interesting, and as said by Ghislaine it can have lots of possibilities, but regretably I do not understand how it works and how to understand how the settings are done, and how to use them in the best possible way. For what are the 3 color controls? How can I resize the result to make it as shown on preset 15? I mean that some others presets look very big and size, pixels slider does not work as expected and will not reduce the size Would be good that if possible could be explained more how to use it and be able to get the most of it Thanks |

Let me explain how this filter works:
1. your image is put into a map script component. With the control "S1234-Formula" you can select one of 10 formulas to use in this component. You can alter the result of the component by its 4 additionally controls also. "S1234-Angel" turns the image around the pivot point on upper left corner. "S1234-Vector" stretch the image. "OffsetX and offsety" shift the resulting image in x and/or y direction. 2. With selector "Choose a pattern" you can choose between one of four input selections. Every input gets different altered patterns of the input image. The output is sent to component "result". Switch imput 1: This input uses the result of the "map component" and mix this by a "blend" component, adds a 3 color gradient and a "stone" noise component. Only Input 1 of the switch makes use of the color controls. Switch input 2: This input uses the result of the "map control" directly. No other transformations are used. Switch input 3: The "map component" sent its result to two cascading kaleidoscope components. These components are altered by its controls named "...Kal-1 and Kal-2...". All of these controls effects the resulting image but only if the selector is set to input 3. Switch input 4: Only the kaleidoscope component "...Kal-1..." changes the resulting image. The presets makes use of the "lifesaver" built-in preview images. If you use one of your own images, you get an absolutely different result, because there is a different source the "map component" get as it input. I hope, I could help you a bit. If you need any further help please sent a message. Have fun to experiment with this filter... ![]() |
