Hehe. Probably should give more instructions on how to use it...

The idea is that you open an image that you want to draw and then turn off the "Final Output."

The Drawing input is not very user friendly as yet. You can only see the overlapped part that is going to be visible in the final, but basically you want to draw the top edge of a given shape with the first section (first eighth) of the bezier input, then the bottom edge of the same shape with the second eighth. and repeat same for 3rd and 4th section etc.

I'll add some images that clarify this when I get a chance.

Okay, so here's a more visual guide. Draw a bezier curve for the top part of piece (shown in green here) then draw the bottom part, this second part gets cut off fr om the top part, resulting in a shape (remaining green piece).

Since the FF bezier curve goes only in one direction, you have to learn and think with what pieces are continuous from left to right and wh ere the pieces end, i.e. the points at which they reverse their horizontal direction (shown as black dots here).

You also may want to think which parts you may want to color the same color or a different color in choosing how to construct the image from the four pieces available.

Minor bug when you make a rectangular image longer horizontally (there are extra shapes).

WOW! i did not know that you made this, and it looks interesting

i have just found this and will see how it works, and if it easy or complex to use and be able to draw things

Thanks

Hello, in all this time I have not been able to understand how this works and how is possible to draw things using this method

Fr om what Threedee have explained and seeing the presets do yo need to draw first the under part of the object in one line and then after the upper part of the thing you want?

Sorry that I do not see any overlapped part of the source image inside the curve editor, or wh ere should I look for it? I have already turn off the final output

So do you need to draw first top edge part of the object in the first part of the curve editor, but how do you do it as it does not seem to be similar to the object the example presets and do not understand how it is drawn

As said above I think that it is told that first draw the top part of the object in one line and then the bottom part of the object, but in the presets there are more parts involved

Yes, it would help much if Is possible to clarify it more with some more explanation on how it should be done

I am very sorry and feel dumb that I am unable to understand how the curve editor bezier and points work as you explain it as I do not able to see the relation between the points and the object

Please, could anyone that know, explain how to use the Curve Editor that uses this filter to create the drawing that you may want?

I have seen this already Curve Editor Help page

For example if I want to draw this shown here below

Thanks very much for any possible help

Or this one shown here

Maybe these would be better made using other components rather than using the curve editor?

Thanks very much

Those fonts above are probably easier constructed using already-existing shapes and offsets than using the curve graph drawing method. The simple geometry there should be easy to construct.

Make a ellipse, move to position. Make another ellipse, move to another position. Use gradients to crop stuff etc. Very easy.

Yes, I think you are right and it would be easier without using the curve editor and use other components

Although I have already use FF in all these years, I am still learning how to make custom shapes with FF components, and I have read already the great and useful Working with shapes tutorial by CFandM.

Yes, I agree, will try to experiment and see what I can do as you say, as I have forgot what I have learnt before and have to refresh it.
