I wrote a script to count the number of components. It counted 3,413. Granted, some of those are groups, controls (like sliders), and loop slaves. Did you know 3,413 is a prime number?
Oh, what about the aesthetics? Um, it looks nice, I guess... I like trusses...

Hey Truman, there is an odd "half tree" towards the right. Any idea what that is all about? I tried fiddling with settings and couldn't get it to either fill out or go away, but haven't looked any further into it. Really, seriously awesome idea and execution!
And Congrats on the well deserved Editor's Pick! The Joy is in The Work

Hey Erik, thanks for reporting the bug! It's a problem with a threshold intended to reduce trees rendering time. I've just fixed it and submitted the update.
Thank you again for your compliments! It's my first EP and it made me happy

How bored must a person be to make such a filter... Wow, great look in fact. Also the trees and everything has been done with a lot of attention to the details, really impressive and a well deserved EP.
Just out of curiosity, how long did you work on this?

@raabix I don't really know.. I made it in my spare time, little by little, when I was feeling it. It started as a way to practice loops, then it got out of hands. (sorry for the super late reply, I didn't notice you commen..).
More obsessive and geeky than bored, btw

What a great filter! I was extremely impressed the first time I saw it years ago, but I didn't know its significance back then. I had never heard of the video game Firewatch and the filter was merely a beautiful scene to me. Just recently (Dec. 2024) a video talking about this game popped up in my YouTube feed, and I thought - "hey, that looks a lot like the beautiful FilterForge filter!" So I searched for the filter and discovered in the filter description that the game was the inspiration for the filter.
