Why do certain images get cut off when transformed by this filter? There is a wide edge of transparent area taking up part of the final result image.

This is a tile filter so the result is intended to be square and can be used as seamless tiles if the numer of Half Tiles is set to an even number. Does this make sense?

I can modify it to allow Portrait/Landscape output if you would like.

Yes, that equation does make sense for seamless tiles tiles. I doubt that a landscape image could be made seamless. How can the filter be modified for landscape? The filter is nicely complex. Where in the filter mods can this change to Landscape/Portrait be enacted? I'd like that.

I have submitted an update allowing Portrait/Landscape tiles, here is how it works (a quote from the update notes):
Quote
Added Portrait/Landscape to allow rectangular tiles and eliminating the transparency area of the output. Common aspects ratios such as 4:3 use 6,12… Number of Half Tiles to create a seamless rectangular tile. The aspect ratio 3;2 uses 4,8… Number of Tiles to create a seamless rectangular tile.

And an example 3:2 ratio image using the filter.
