This is the one you got the yet-un-named picture frame idea from ? If so, that was a good use of it, limit the number of mixable colors for better results I think, (If I'm remembering this one correctly as the one having like 7 or so colors to mix).

The controls are somewhat hard to figure out, but I love the variations.
I added a final high pass blend (much like sharpening) to get some more contours:  |

hehe You should try some of the other filters that I posted.. 
Hadn't thought about adding the high pass at that time but it does bring out the patterns more...Gives it a nice warm look..Cool
