----Thanks. smile:) I just updated it a little, mostly to expand on it's look just a bit, not much else you can do with something this basic. I gott atry and not mess with it anymore, it's already 43% toward becoming "Pixel Diamonds" ha-ha. smile:D

----I've done take-off, or branch-off filters before, it's just kinda rare. And yeah, I like having filters with a wider spectrum of fx possible, I spent too long downloading sh*tty one-trick pony (photoshop filter) freebs back in the early 2000's, no more of that for me ha-ha. smile:D

The first one is my favorite. It gives a quilt look, including crazy quilts.

I know what you mean about those PS filters...ugh, boring. I was always wishing they could do just a tiny bit more. I have some I paid for that are also somewhat limiting. FF is definately the very best I have ever seen. Makes Eye Candy and it's plug ins look very boring and expensive.

----The only ones I bought were the KPT collection off ebay, like no box/no manual, just the oem cd-rom, for $30+shipping, and that Russian guy's collection, the umm, Amphisoft ones, those were pretty dang cool for $18.95 or whatever he charged. Mehdi made some alright freebster ones, but most of them were pretty vanilla. I always meant to get some of the Flaming Pear ones, but never got around to it, and don't need them now with FF. smile:D

I like the Xero filters as far as free ones go, also Scribe. The redfield filters were a bit of a waste of money for me. Flaming Pear filters are ok, but limiting.

Cyber quilts for tags and scrapbooking.

FF does take away the need for the other filters that's for sure.

----I'm pretty sure by V2, it will more or less be able to replace any and all other Photoshop filters. It's still pretty spendy for the make-your-own version, but maybe at $99, more people will get into the no-edit version.

----I've heard of "Xero", not sure which ones they were, no idea about Scribe or Redfield. I wasn't into anything "normal" though ha-ha, I've always wanted more kaleidescopes and maximum warpage, although I have calmed down a lot since then, especially with my FF creations ha-ha. smile:D I'd still find some time to go and mess with the Flaming Pear filters if they were suddenly free, but yeah, I'd never buy them now.

Scribe has a four way preset that I used to use a lot. It's almost like a kaliedescope, but I liked it better. I could get some really nice effects from it.

The Redfield filters are just patterns that you could do only the tiniest bit with. I was pretty disappointed with them.

Flaming Pear had one filter that makes a night sky, you know, with stars and nebulas, but so can FF. smile:D

Xero http://www.xero-graphics.co.uk/downloads.htm Go down to freeware. I like his filters a lot. I especially like his porcelin (sp?) filter.

----I went to download those 4 packs, and it said I already had them, sure enough, downloaded last September. Probably right around the same few days i was up til 4am looking for filters and found FF and never bothered with the free ones I found ha-ha. smile:D The Amphisoft site seems to be offline currently, but he hosted the classic Toadies filters, as well as his own some of which were free, and some of which were limited til you bought the pack. Mehdi is still at http://www.mehdiplugins.com/ and his kaleidescope is a "classic" to me ha-ha, I about wore that thing out back in 2004-2005 smile:p

I have so many of the free filters from being in the groups and never found a use for most of them. But like I said, I used the Scribe 4 way like crazy back then. I eventually got to where I was able to do really nice effects with the built in filters in PSP. I never would have thought I would ever actually make filters.

That's funny that you already had the Xero filters.

----Yeah, there were just so many crappy free photoshop filters out there last year when I looked, like hundreds if not thousands. I started learning to code a bit for that Filtermeister program, but sheesh, that's just nuts compared to this. I've been waiting, literally, for a few years now for a graphic modular environment to make photoshop filters in, ever since becoming familiar with them in the audio synth/effect world I've been like looking around online for a graphics type one like FF. It seemed like a no-brainer to make (something like FF), but I guess it wasn't either easy ha-ha, or very high up on most companies lists, since they either make filters and sell those individually, or didn't want to compete with all the filters already out there.

I wasn't even looking for filters when I found this place. I was looking for fabric textures. smile:D Sure am glad I did find it. It's like having every filter ever made and yet to come all rolled into one.

----Pretty close huh. smile:) I've recently tried a few other similar programs out, and been just completely underwhelmed at their inability to do more than one thing at a time (ie = they don't seem to have presets).
----Glad to see this filter is getting some use, it's kind of a hybrid pixel/weave type of thing, and as per most of my stuff, I didn't know how much popular appeal that might have really ha-ha. smile:)

Gingham is a nice effect.

I don't even use my other filters anymore and haven't reinstalled most of them since I got this program. The others are so limiting.

I saw your lovely comment to uuk. smile:D I was wondering how he was still doing filters too. It would suck if he got three HUs when I only had one tossed at me and I have only borrowed twice, once with encouragement. You gave him a nice smack. smile:D You don't suppose he would be dumb enough to use warez and keep posting these "filters" do you?

----Yeah, I pretty much just use the Amphisoft filters, and the KPT Collection, other than FF, and probably only cause I paid for them so I feel like I ought to use them ha-ha.
----I personally can't imagine uuk got 3 HU's, but considering he/she mostly rips off people's filters, then all of the uuk stuff should be HU unless uuk is retarded and stealing low usage filters ha-ha. I don't really care, I just got tired of seeing more garbage posted, I happened to be looking and up popped that last one, so I commented on it, I'm not gonna try and start a war. If uuk wants to ignore it and go back to changing the colors on someone else's filter, then whatever ya know. That would be kind of ironic, if a warez user started posting filters, more ironic though if they were good filters and they got 3 HU awards ha-ha.

That last one is pretty cool, kind of like little rotated dice almost or something. smile:) I'm still into all the pixel looks, I just posted a new filter "Pixel Weave" yesterday that has yet another slight variation on the whole pixel-ish look. This one probably does as good or better fake material kinds of looks, but Pixel Weave might be interesting to you too, depends on what styles of material you are most into I guess. And not to sound like a salesman ha-ha, but my old "Ghost Grid" filter has some kind of cool blurry/material/grid looks, in case you never saw that one, it might be worth 5-10 minutes of your time someday. But hey, thanks for posting those examples, it's always good for people to get to see what filters look like on something besides the life preserver eh. smile:D
