I can not believe I missed this one; man Carl you are producing some excellent filters! I am at work and can not download this one; would you mind putting a sample pick of something besides the life saver, like a mountain or flower.

Also note that you barely submitted this and it already has 90+ downloads!!!! Holy Cow!!!! More exclamation marks!!!! smile:D

LMAO this is actualy one of my first filters that badly needed an overhaul and has taken a long time to get 90+ LOL I also realized after your post that it needs control over the glow aspect as it can swamp an image loosing some times to much detail - so I'll do another update [ thank goodness you can do improvements smile;) ] smile:)

yes it's a ghosting effect which you can move around, i think the new updates improved greatly as i was never satifyed by previous result but believed it to be different enough not to be discard in the lows - hopefully there be new filters tonight............ thankyou for your comment craig smile:)

Is that a car in the one pic?

Sounds good about being able to have or not have the ghosting.

I just played around with the new version. I like smile:)

In fact, I'm going to steal your "text" areas and put them in my Ultrasound filter. I was wondering how to do that. smile;)

I want to try this, but I do not want to removed or delete the original version of the filter, and if I do the update, I will loose it.

I suposse I can copy the earlier version to "my filters" folders and then update it.

What I did was save the old filter as "X-Ray (Original)" and then updated.

Thanks Morgantao, I suposse that there is no possible way to keep the original version inside the FF library as this is all controlled by the online FF library, and if the original is no more there, is not possible to have it in FF without having to put it in the "my filters" folder.

If this is a totally new revamped version, it should have been uploaded as a new filter like X-Ray 2.0 or anything else to have both available.

Yeah, I have to agree with SpaceRay on that. It's basically a totaly different filter, not just a minor change.
Could have them both in the library.

Were you actually using the previous version? My guess is no smile;) I do keep the original version in all other filter I've updated, this one didn't workout that way smile:)

I never used it before, but then again it was lost in the ocean of filters.
I did keep the old one though, because now that I know it exists it could be usefull. Even if for inspiration only, this looks like a good filter to have smile:)

Well thanks to the "wonderful and excellent" way to be able to manage and organize the filters inside FF 3.0, is my fault that I did not remember that this filter existed and I had downloaded long ago and I did not remember or be able to find it in my "beautifully" organized library ? smile;) smile:D

There a are LOTS of others filters that are also not used and lost in the ocean of filters and that are not found, and what I mean is that this is like deleting the old filter from the library and not updating it.

Now thanks to someones (Morgantao and Saragani) that have cared and found a way to make the awesome and excellent FFCat tool is finally possible to have some way to manage and organize the filters AND FIND them, and remember that you have it.

Sorry for bothering you with all this.

I will copy the old X-Ray filter to "my filters" folder and will download this new filter and see how it works and write about THIS new filter and no more about the old one.

Finally I have updated the filter and I think is AWESOME!! Very well done and much better than the original, and gives amazing textured effects that are beautiful and great.

Thanks for the "update" and the new great look.

Glad you like them.

And there are more possible ways to use this filter, as there are many possible presets that give different result, and so this is not like before that had only one possible result.
