Thank you StevieJ ^_^ You always have the most uplifting comments! ^_~
Celluloid Dreams was one of my filters back in the days when filters for some unfathomable reason took me hours instead of days to create, ahahah. For some strange reason, the time it took me to produce a filter just kept on doubling since Shoujo Strands which was the first filter to take me more than one day. It's probably something to do with me becoming a tad more obsessive compulsize in the creation process now ^_^ I'm a big fan of old fashion film making effects and sepia's and created this filter with those ideas in mind, so I hope other enthusiasts of such effects enjoy Celluloid Dreams ~^_^~ -Zephos |

G'day Zephos.
What a remarkable filter. Just what I need for a project I am doing. However, I have a problem with some images that I am loading into the filter and hope you can help me. With some of the images, the film strip comes up in the middle of the image (see example size 1918 X 2481, preset 1). Is there a specific size range width/height, that works perfectly with your great preset? Best wishes and keep up the great work and hooroo for now. ![]() Winner Jean Bogan Piano Composition Competition 2016

Thank you so much for your kind words, paulcopeland! ~^_^~
Celluloid Dreams was originally created on the first few versions of Filter Forge, so some of the Components used in it had a particular weakness to scaling on long or tall canvases (That and we had to resort to some pretty odd ball tricks to get it to do things like round gradients). Attached to this post is a makeshift updated version for the Celluloid Dreams filter that should address the issue you mentioned above. I haven't worked on a new filter in almost a decade, so I might be a little rusty. Still, I hope it can still be of use on your project! ^_~ Filter Forge makes rotation and scaling a lot easier now than in the old days, so there's also a new feature to change the orientation of the film strip. Most film strips are wider than they are tall to align with wide screen ratios, so the filter tends to work better on landscape oriented images. The filter is still pretty rough around the edges at the moment, so I hope to optimize it a little bit more when I get the chance. I'm pretty much relearning everything as I go though, which is why I'm a bit hesitant to officially update it at the moment until I can hammer it back into shape, ahahah. ~^_^~ Celluloid Dreams v1.06.ffxml -Zephos |
