Thank you Torley! Actually, out of all the filters I created, Watermeloncholy was the one I least expected to be one of my first high usage rankers ~^_^~ Before I realized it had a high usage rank, Watermeloncholy was my least download filter, had absolutely zero comments and I never promoted it, ahahah, so was I ever shocked to find that it had reached high usage rank above some of my big guns like Shoujo Strands and Sakurama -- I guess those who like it like it a lot ~^_^~
Come to think of it, Watermeloncholy was a filter originally created especially for you Torley, I believe. When I first came to Filter Forge, right after the Matrix code post, I stumbled on Crapadilla's Fruits of the Forge thread where he exhibited Strawberry Skin where you mentioned something about a watermelon filter that gave me the idea, since I'm also a pretty big fan of watermelons. Actually, I think there's a setting in Watermeloncholy named after you if I recall correctly. ^_^ -Zephos |

hehe, gotta love creative folks
![]() i like the rind and seeds but the meat seems a bit off. not grainy enough, maybe. If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

Excellent suggestion Kraellin! Now that you mention it, an actual watermelon should have a lot more graininess in the flesh -- looks like I'm going to have to buy one... for err... reference (and hope I don't eat it by accident ~^_^~). One other thing I also wanted to look into was the seeds... I could never really make them form naturally and the Chaff noise I use in the current version is a bit hard to control, I wonder if I can improvise in a new structure using tiles for a more balanced spread while still looking natural ^_^

----Wow, high usage for a watermelon filter ha-ha, crazy. I'd have totally expected any of a half a dozen other Zephos filters to reach high usage any day, but I just wouldn't have guessed this one. Welcome to the weird fruit filter club ha-ha ![]() jffe Filter Forger |
