I added a drop size control slider for more versatility. It was added to the cells component, remapped 125 minimum, 250 max. In addition I changed one of the blend nodes from color to normal and relabled the transparency slider to opacity to make the water opaque if desired. BTW the index of refraction for water is 1.33 not 1.

Does this help? I had to modify the filter slightly.
Remember to also load an image with transparency or create a new image with transparent fill color. _T_Rain Drops Hard Shadow Transparent.ffxml |
