Loving this filter! It gives me all sort of ideas of new ways that Filter Forge can be used, especially with Variation 2! I'd imagine that this would work great with wheel spokes and metal nets and the like as well and the controls are nice and simple too. Ahaha, I remember reading somewhere that per size to strength ratio, Spider Silk is one of the strongest materials on Earth (and apparently actual armor is made using it produced by of all things -- goats, ahaha)
Strange though, when I downloaded WebWideWorld to try it out, it created a new category on my list, but for some strange reason, the preview doesn't work with it. Might be a problem on my side, so I'll try and get a fresh download of it again and see if fixes things up ^_^ Also, also loving the name ^_^ -Zephos

Thanx Zephos
I think the filter catagories were simply modified in general last night, and it was not caused by my filter in particular.
As for the lack of previews, that is weird...thoguh I do know they are a bit slow for some reason.

nice one, rawn. love the spiked effect.
havent played with the actual filter yet, so i'll ask here. can the 'web' strands be thinned so that they are more like the actual strands of a spider's web? If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

The threads can be thinned, but it is doubtful as to wether it would look real. This is designed to be more of a stylized web pattern.
There is another filter already on this site that does nice realistic looking ones.

Clever techniques -- especially with using the circular gradient and High Pass.

This has been updated to simplify some of the internal workings, and give cleaner lines than before.
I also added some colour control.
But I did loose the settings for the number of spokes...it didnt really work well for the web effect anyway.
