Thanks you two.

We need a blacklight in here and maybe a beaded curtain... smile;)

That's from CF and M's gradient. I did like he said and set the thingy to 100 and the colors are so bright. Thanks again CF and M if you happen to come in here. smile:)

I made just a couple quick changes, and thought I'd share them, so you could add them if you wanted to for an update (or if not, that's cool, no worries either way). See the 3 example pics below, (kinda tough to tell in the example pics, but even with the full black background, there is still a bit of depth, and quite a bit remains with the gray background), to show how these mods can make the pics look with one switch added, and the High Pass internal changes. The main change, is just to add a checkbox control, to the *Bevel* on the Pavements, from Linear where you had it, to Countours, as I changed it to, so with a switch both looks can be achieved. Other than that, I was trying to get rid of those very faint white lines/crease looking marks, that were showing up along the internal shape edges, and by changing the High Pass settings to - Contrast 10, Radius 5, and unchecking the Monochrome button, I seemed to have traded a bit of the depth from the surface height there, but also got rid of 1/2 or so of the white lines, making them very very tough to see now. Cool filter though, very subtle. smile:)

Thanks jffe and Stevie.

jffe, I am legally blind, taking a medication that is blurring my vision, and with a monitor going bad; I didn't see the white lines. smile:D Thanks for letting me know. I will do those fixes.

----Wow, o.k. Yeah, the little lines/crease mark looking spots are very minor, I was just thinking to maybe get rid of them entirely would be cool is all. Oh, and if you put a Blur component after the High Pass, before plugging it into the Height on the output, and set it at 0.01, that makes them almost completely gone, and maybe even adds 5% more depth too, in fact, you might skip the high pass adjustment I suggested, and just add a Blur after it, and try it at 0.01 or 0.02 or so instead, that might do the trick all by itself. smile:)

I'm going to leave the high pass stuff in that you mentioned as I can't see what is happening and I added blur.

Just a few more days on this one medicine and my vision will be back to what these glasses were made for. smile:D

I'll wait a while to upload this filter in case you figure out something else.

My goth filter hasn't been added here and I didn't see anything added from anyone else today, so I am guessing it's because of the holiday?

I just grabbed the updated version, looks better. I'd even go 0.10 on the internal Blur setting after trying it at some settings around there. The Pavements *Bevel* controls needs to have the *Use Remapping* checked, and unchecked can be normal (Linear), and the kind of inverted black/gray background like in my examples above, should be set to *Contours* for the Bevel checkbox is checked. As the Bevels choice is set now, Linear and Smooth just make very little difference at all, while Contours acts almost like an invert really. smile:)

I thought I did do it on contours. smile:blush: I will try to do the other things. I don't understand what you mean about the inverted black/gray background. BIAB

----In the example pics I posted above in this thread, the 1st and 2nd ones, are with Contours selected for the Pavements bevel style. You just have to do it to see what it's about, I can't explain it any better than it seems to kind of *invert* things. smile:)

Ok, the bevel was showing contours in one place, but after I did the remapping I was able to click on that little number tag and get the choice thing up. I chose smooth and contour. Linear seemed to be reducing the brilliance of the colors. I also redid the bevel height to help with the color problem. Now I just need to understand the black/gray thing.

----Well, there was no really good way to explain why the heck choosing Contours for the Bevel type would be a weird invert like that, ya just hadda do it to get it, so we can blame just the FF program itself for that confusion ha-ha. Anyways, sounds like yer set for another update, and all is well here. smile:)

Oh yes, I really like this filter, for all the same reasons you guys do. I even get my incense burner out to set the mood when I play with this one smile:D

But, where are those white lines Jffe was talking about? I don't see them either...
maybe we're on the same meds smile:?:

The lines are actully rather light, but his method could be a big help to Steve.

I am going to post a few samples to that one filter I submitted last night and then would prefer not to post anything other than samples in this forum from now on.
