See Preset 1 in action.

No other preset was used in the making of this web page~ smile;)

I wanted to show the versatility of a single preset, and how you can make a matching set with a favorite preset or variant. (((Pull the Size/pixel slider to a low setting to generate a matching background tile for the larger preset you like.)))

(((This is just a sample, you don't have to add this much chrome... can flood fill table cells with solid color...)))

Click the web link to see Preset 1 as a web page.

http://www.persidio.net/FF/chromeart/Chrome_Art.htm

P.s. Just noticed I forgot to add a matching scroll bar... also saw all the typos... so I'll fix and reload the page... reloading is done quickly so you shouldn't notice any difference on this end... for those that have already viewed it you may have to do a browser refresh in about 20 min when you view again to see the updated version... going to work on updating now. Thanks for viewing.

Beautiful filter Persidio! smile:) I did not realize they could be so useful in webpage design. It is very helpful to see the samples and even more helpful to see the web page. I like how the filter can take all of its color from the environment or generate color of its own. This should be a very useful filter for 3D environments too - like pterosaur armor. smile:D

Just an FYI, when I used the link:

http://www.persidio.net/FF/chromeart/Chrome_Art.htm

I got a reset connection using Firefox on the first try but it loaded on retry. So I tried it with IE and could not get it to load at all even after seven or eight retries. Just wanted to let you know.

I'm having trouble with my 'paid for' server tonight... 'worldispnetwork'. I bought the space in Jan of this year. I had space before but let it go when I took a break from making web pages, forum skins and backgrounds. So I bought more this year, figured I'd better use it.

This is the first time I've had a problem with them, sure it is just temporary. But yes, it has been horrible getting the uploads to the page.

Sorry it did not load well for you. smile:cry: smile:cry: Try again and let me know because the server feels better now. Also I finally did upload the scroll bar code to match the page.

I'm sure it will be fine later tonight or tomorrow. smile:evil:

Every single one of my filter backgrounds is made with this triple table tile code in mind as an option. In fact on some of the page descriptions for the filters I do mention "triple table tile code". smile:D smile:D smile:D Now everyone can see what 'triple table tile code is'.

I'm going to redo my thank you page http://persidio.net/FF/filters.htm with a triple table tile design using my Abalone Filter. Not uploading anything else tonight until the server straightens out. The thank you page I have now is straight CSS (Cascading Style Sheets).

How to get the matching colors... extract the colors from the tiles within your program. Then when you have the color you want ... copy and paste the hex code in your HTML.

Sorry.. to all... filter tip about making the metal bars that look like drawer handles. (As seen on the web page.)

The filter gives that look. Just apply preset 1 on a oval rectanglar shape ... I used one of the extracted dark blue shades as the base color for the bar. Apply preset 1 and you should get the drawer handles. ((Of course make sure the Size/pixel slider is pulled to a smaller size amount)). For smaller bars ... resize the first larger bar you make.

Oh I love those presets too! smile:D It was so hard picking a preset to use for the page... I luvs all the presets. Not just the clarity but personally I like olive green mixed into web sites... it's just a great web color... JMO...

and the amber stones in preset 7... great color combo for web sets...

(((((Thank you Steve))))) Did you have any problems viewing the page? Time for me to head back soon to start on another page... after I take a break, LOL.

Darn server tonight on the web server is driving me crazy. At first I thought,,, well maybe it's my FTP... but it's not.. it's the server.... ((((slow)))) a turtle could beat my web page server in a race right now...

Yes! working with both IE and Firefox now. It looks like your hosting provider is struggling with their Bind configuration. DNS can be tricky to set up, I hope they bring in someone that can nail it down for them.

Oh Ron I hope so too~ smile:cry:

Thanks for taking a peek,,, and keep me updated on your Maya project. Oh,... Bryce 5.5 is on one of the 2 Cd's I sent to you. It's important that you install that one before September 8th because the company is giving free registration codes for it until that date. If you look in the folder the program is in I most likely put the URL in for their website... you register at the site and I think they email the registration. If you have any problems finding the company site just let me know. A simple google search should turn it up as well. And we are not talking Demo,,, they will give the entire program free till September 8th (((was very excited when I found the deal)))

Okay back to web stuff for me... then break till tomorrow. smile:D smile:D smile:D

((Thank you so much for a look at the web page)) smile:D

More likely than not these problems will continue, it looks like they unable to keep the necessary expertise, either through lack of resources or inept management, to maintain their servers. Most managers do not want to pay what these people charge. I know because I was one of them - a consultant not a manager. They will probably have this ironed out by noon on Monday, they will not want to pay weekend rates, and things will work again until something else needs to be changed. I would expect quality of service from this host to be sporadic at best. Once you get your site the way you want it you may want to consider another host provider.

I am paid up till Jan 2008. I havn't had a problem before... but this is bad. Very bad.

After this experience tonight I know that I will want to change hosts... this is ridiculous...

((awe.. well thanks for checking and your professional opinion on it)) It's great to have an ex-consultant as a friend.

I could shrug it off if it were a free web host... but sheeze,,, paid for space... LOL.. happens though.

thanks letting me know I should expect more of this from them... I can start looking for a new server.
