Hey there Ahimsa... don't you ever go to sleep smile:-p

Nice sample, I like it smile;)
One of your patterns under there?

Oh, BTW... the above text was a gradient I used on a font and then ran through Picture Putty. Nothing else added (no EyeCandy shine or beveling) accept for the drop shadow smile:D

I'm glad, Carl... wish I could squish my hands right into that stuff when I see it in the presets. And the font above, when I ran this over it, looks sort of 'edible' doesn't it... like warm homemade cookies.... mmmmmmm smile:D

It's one thing computors can never give us and the physical exertion of mind and body it takes to paint and sculpt - sometimes I think 10 months ago when I first used a computor was a dark day and my real art has suffered the day is coming to unplug smile:(

I do understand what you are saying, Carl. But you could try to schedual yourself to take at least 1-2 hour of computer time to just doing some quick drawing/painting sketches. I miss the smell of paper, the slippery feel of paint blending into paint under my brush strokes, the lovely little scratchy noises a good pencil or pen and ink play back while you compose your imagination on paper...

You could keep a drawing tablet next to your computer and start sketching some of the ideas you have for filters!?!? That's actually what I do smile;)

Jotting down notes is similar to drawing for me in that it keeps my hands and wrist limber, unlike a keyboard. But don't give this up.. it's just another medium we need to learn to share with our other artistic toys smile:D

I don't think I'm familiar with that style... where could I find some samples of this sort of illustration, DreamWarrior?

And thank you for your comment. It reminds me of Play-Dough or Silly Putty smile:-p

Wow, nice... I never thought of these, but I'm familiar with this style now that I see it again. Thanks DW (is it ok if I call you that?)

Some good ideas could be gleaned from searching the web for art and illustration styles smile:D

I'm sorry if I didn't describe it quite right; I don't know if it has a name and English isn't my mother language.

Ideas are everywhere! But yes, looking for a particular style is always interesting if not at least to learn new ways of using FF.

And yes, you can call me DW or whatever you want(you can call me Barb, too, as in my real name, lol).

I like Barb... but I may not remember, so I'll use DW till I can remember your real name smile:-p

You did fine in describing this style, I didn't know what's what it was called and didn't have my own definition for it, so you did OK smile:D
What is your mother language, if you don't mind my asking... Barb smile;)

Hello Barb, wish I could speak Spanish, but all I know is taco... enchilada... guacamole... tostada... and I can count 1-10 smile:D

I'm glad you can speak English, I'm not always that good with that language either, though it is my mother language smile:-p

LOL. Well, there are quite different kinds of foods here in Argentina. No enchilada or guacamole, except in Mexican restaurants. smile:)
Tostadas yes, I have those every breakfast.

What is that? A gaucho? We don't have many of those left either smile:D

That's true. Hans and I have had some misunderstandings while I have been teaching him English. I have forgotten most of the German I used to know and he still isn't 100% with English. So easy to say something that's ok in one language and not the other or to not know when someone is just teasing with you.

The fun part is when we teach each other local slang.

You don't have be speaking in a foreign language to miss the meaning, Aussies have a huge range of colloquialisms as you may have guessed, and I have to be careful not to use words that have a different meaning to other nationalities, which I did recently in the forum and Steve whispered in my ear what the word means to him and the comment suddenly became offensive smile:blush:
