Well, both indended style and relief is (or were) commonly used.. I'll update this filter later, with more control over the style (its somewhat limited now..)

This, and its counterpart Strange Symbols, is one of the best ideas for textures I have seen. Nicely implemented.
Are you working on a project you needed this for?

One thing you might consider is making the text optional. That way it could be placed on a wall easily and in various locations. Here is an example of what how it looks using one of my tile filters.

It's just a thought - it might not be a good idea.

Its a good idea.. In general more placement control would not be bad.. I'll see about it (only 6 days left of the trial smile:cry: )

Noo!!! That's terrible. I remember the unbelievable pressure when mine was running out. I had to wait a month for my filters to go HU. It was tough not having FF. How many HUs do you need? It's getting so hard to make them now with so many excellent filters in the library but you're making very good ones and I'm sure you will make it.

Well - so far none - but I've only been here a month smile;) The explosion filter is currently leading (from what I can tell) But most of the filters I've made are progressing the ladder steadily .. so I just have to wait I guess

No problem then, there is an automatic extension after the first one expires. smile:D
As for which one is leading don't be mislead by downloads. In fact, I think downloads dilute the usage and count against you. Of course that's just a superstition - I have no way of knowing if it is true.
You have done really well for a month. I know how much work it is, and how important it is for you to get FF. Good luck.

I've been looking at the placement in the "All Filters by popularity" view a few times..

I see. I'm glad that didn't occur to me - it would have been another thing to distract me. When I was waiting for mine to go HU I was checking their downloads daily. I finally got burned out worrying about it and gave up. About a week later they turned.
In retrospect the month off turned out to be good for me. It gave me a chance to pursue my 3D work in earnest. I downloaded Maya PLE and didn't look back. Now I try to limit my FFing to the weekends but sometimes I can't help myself. smile:hammer:
