Mmm, nice. I love grunge + posterized fx.
Tangent thoughts:
Hey, Carl, I think I just submitted a filter very similar to your "Advanced Posterize" filter. This was totally accidental -- where I guess I should have searched the library first before making/submitting it. (And, BTW, I send apologies to other FF filter author's that I may have "copied" -- e.g. if Scarykitty reads this: I think you're awesome!)
I hope you aren't too offended, but I know you are very egotistical and territorial about your filters, so I thought I should apologize. --- Heh, I'm just joking about that, but I do feel a little apologetic for submitting my last filter.

Thanks for having a look guys
Ssamm you complete bastard, I never want to talk to you again
Only kidding there is are a lot of posterizers in the library and yours is different again [ I like it ] - and the old saying great minds think a like As you know I'm a bit of a sucker for grunge and it seemed to be a bit of a twist on the posterizer, I'm now going to go through everyones filters and do a grunge version, Grunge Orb, Grunge Monster, Grunge Chromoatics, Grunge Glass etc, that will double the library to 8,000 odd filters and put Voldemort to shame [don't worry everyone I'm only kidding ] - grunge is popular [ my fastest moving filter is 12GrungeFx ] and you all have filter that could make some pretty cool grungy versions of - come to the darkside

Carl,
Heh, that's probably not that bad of an idea -- of adding grunge to already existing filters... (as it could be useful for other users too, probably?).
Oh, wow, I didn't remember your "I2 B&w Grunge Fx (effect)" filter. (I think that's the one you were referring to?) Now, that I (like to experiment with blending B&W noise with PS layers a little more and) like to mess with grunge more, I'll have to look into it again...
I've been using my own personal FF grunge filter for a few months now, but have never submitted it to the library (--sort of out of laziness and distractions and sort of out of wanting to add something extra to it -- as it's sort of bland).
I look forward to experimenting with your 12GrungeFx filter...
(P.S. I did just notice that you do have an another, earlier filter called "I2 Grunge FX" -- where I'm guessing that was probably the one you referred to... I'll be sure to look into that one too...)

I like it. I'll have to try making something like that...
By the way, if you or anyone else were to submit their own versions of my filters (or parts of my filters), I'd take it as flattering.

How about grungy posterized grunge with a grunge overlay? I plugged Grunge Posterizer to Generate Grunge. Now that is one ff-ed up life preserver. Talk about filter abuse. @ronviers

I really like the impact the combined filter has on the orange parts of the lifesaver. It makes for a really nice texture.

It has an almost 5 minute render time and a bazillion controls. I'm afraid the user's heads would explode. I think *you* should submit it. @ronviers

You know, I was just noticing that I don't think either of us used any bitmap components like blur so it would probably be the hardest working simple filter in the whole library. Plus Generate Grunge's claim to fame is its wide range of grunges - not to mention that Grunge Posterizer has several of its own modes of operation. Combining these filters would almost certainly make for the filter with the most looks in the entire library. I also noticed that there is hardly any overlap of controls - interesting. @ronviers
