ok, good, cause i dont want to detract from your possible usage stats on the actual, submitted filter.

i kept the invert in and in fact, added to it. note the trick with how i keep the one invert effect always dark. that's actually a handy trick when working with surface filters. i also added in some brightness/contrast for a stronger depth definition. just a personal choice there to see how it would look. and i tweaked your levels seeders a bit for more contrast.

and you're right, this sort of filter just begs for modding. it's not that the original isnt good; it's just that pattern filters like this just seem to want 50 different mods

yeah, seeding different shapes would change things quite a bit.

and shortly after posting that mod, i changed it again. i think i contrasted and black and white pointed things too much. i cut it back after posting that. and now, i'm thinking i like your original better, anyways
