You can mod this for shapes with curves as well.....

This is almost what I need. Is there anyway to rotate the angle where the extrusion comes from? The final product makes the image look like I am looking at it from the top right, I need to be looking at it from the bottom right.

I have tried this to make an extruded letter but it does not work, I do not get any extrusion and I am using the same input as the random shape I mean white shape with black background
I am doing something wrong or how do use this snippet? Thanks This below is what I have used from the awesome Arial fonts filter made by ThreeDee ![]() |

The current version requires a selection, so you'll have to either render the letter and load it as a selection or modify the filter so it works directly with the image.

Hello, ThreeDee I have already seen that it depends on a selection, I have tried using a selection, then tried to load the selection, and then after went inside the filter editor and changed the filter so it would work directly with the source image and none of them work as expected, I do not get any extruding

You need to compose the letter onto a white background and invert the image before feeding it to the extrude subtree. Since I used selection, it expects an inverted image.
