Explaining Multi-Tile.
The attached picture is composed by three tiles rendered where only the IV param has changed, and they tile seamlessly but have different internal looks to prevent the "tiled" look. Added a white frame on each to show where the tiles are.  - I never expected the Spanish inquisition |

nicely done! stick some oakum in the cracks

Variation 4 looks great!
I've only one suggestion. These are seperate boards, it would be more realistic if the shapes that started in one board didn't flow seamlessly into the other. Maybe like this?  May The Forge Be With You |

I see what you mean Apple. The problem here is the "multi-tiles", but maybe have a separate non IV setting for the outer tile.
Edit: If I put the vertical breaks within gaps, I could do it perfectly. - I never expected the Spanish inquisition |
