Kraellin, I checked this one out.....and I like many of the presets. There is one preset in particular that I'm absolutely in love with.....

i like that filter too. and thanks smile:) you can vary that particular effect quite a bit, giving more or fewer 'broken lines'.

and i'm glad you posted this. i just looked the filter page and noticed this one won an earn point! cool smile:) never even knew smile8)

Yeah, I've been playing with the adjustments on that preset with different images.....and experimenting with using it in combination with other effects. I have to fly right now, but I'll post some of the tests later.....

Hope you had a great weekend!!! smile:)

Me too.....I've been totally swamped with work.....which is why I haven't been here on the forums lately....

Oh, almost forgot, I have some neat test pics that I made with this filter. I still want to work on them a little more, but I will definitely post some of them here.....

Again, I'm totally anamoured with this preset and variations of it.....really gives that subtle refraction like you are behind real glass.....

Hi Craig~ Yep,,, glass looks great on this image... I put Steve's ice on it and Ron's happy face... it's in both those filters comments area.

This is a fun photo to play with ... if you want the test image so you can play with it too let me know. I can post it here or... I can email it to you so lurkers don't grab. I'm at rogue_river@hotmail.com (the email I check the most) and temptressoffate@yahoo.com

Revelations Plastic works great as a shadow btw... discovered that when I was playing around with filters today. ((((Foxxee if you are reading this... grab that plastic for shadows~ hint~))))

Oh Foxxee we must have posted at the same time (the last time I posted) becauase I didn't see the elephant image!

Amazing,, LOL,,, Luvs it! Was thinking this filter would be nice for the glass on a framed photo. I'm going to have to make one and send to Mom... she's mad at my husband right now so any photos I send to her of him have to be altered for humor... LOL.

I sent her one today of Revelation with the shark tank filter on it... she loves it!!! ((She's not speaking to him right now)).

Is that the 1st one he made?

Yep,,, his first filter... put a layer of blank canvas around your image... the size you want your matte... select that layer/area then apply the plastic.

Yep yep Foxxee reading your mind~

LOL

You want the Shark Tank filter link right?

Shark Tank by Crapadilla
http://www.filterforge.com/filters/2853.html

If you don't already have this,,, you'll want it! Very fun filter. When you apply it over a photo the image goes in the tank!! LOL ((one of my fav filters Crapadilla has made)). He made us wait a long time for this one too while he had it in a user gallery thread. I think I started whining for the filter... hehe~ haha~ smile:D

So am I understanding this right... I want to use the Plasic filter over the frame or matt of the picture, not the picture itself? And how does it make a shadow then, what sort of shadow effect?

Sorry ... was playing with the plastic filter... smile:D Well no not on the image. And anything you have around the image will effect the shadow.

I made a simple and basic one to show ...

Didn't think of that, didn't think of a camera lense either, I was thinking more on the line of a Jeep or Hummer's window as you caravan along the tourist trails smile:)

Uhh, Persidio... I sort of feel badly we are talking about the Plastic Filter in Craig's Glass Filter thread. Sort of like we hijacked the focus from him.
I wonder if we could have this part of our conversation moved over to Revelation's Molten Plastic thread instead?

Oh I forgot what comment thread I was in and realized that this filter was not in the image... so....

Here is the same image as above... the area around the wavy image is one application of Glass Menagerie II... then the matte also has an application from a different preset~ smile:D
