Agreed, this is a really natural filter smile:)

However I think you could do without the surface filter and just go with a flat texture and increase your render speeds

Thank you too! Yeah, rendering the diffuse alone does look pretty darn good, so I'd definitely recommend trying it! Go to Filter> Render Maps > Diffuse Map, if you don't want to go in and swap out the Surface filter type for Simple. Some will come out blurrier than you might without the height, but its still worth a peek.
