Does some kind of contraption exist to feed a "if condition met,then " into a curve switch?

My workaround would be to use rgb math and solve the condition at a later stage with images, but that would be a bit unelegant and means building and calculating two versions of a filter branch.
(Or is the tree connected to the "lower" input in a Blend with 100% normal blend omitted?)
