Now with the rising trend of spirographic and geometric shapes filters that is now in the library and in the forum which is very good and beautiful, I think that there is another thing that is missing, and it is the same geometric shapes BUT with DOTS INSTEAD OF LINES.
Here below attached is some example, but this shows only some very simple ones. ![]() |

I think that this ones are beautiful to make to and not only the spirographic lines.
One idea I had where this can be applied is that this could be used also to create "Lighting" effects dots I mean that for example if you could apply this spirographic dots to a filter like this one here ![]() This is the Bright Dots by Kochubey filter You could get something like the spirals dots that you can see in this music video Raining Again by Moby music video with background light spirals Here is what appears about the 25th second ![]() |

Any idea if this could be possible with so many beautiful waves and lines shapes that are available but not with dots in this way shown here ?

It can be done with ubzerzev's uberBlend. Probably there are other ways to do it too.

Thanks very much for trying to do this, it looks good your example
![]() Why the dots can be slower than making lines? Perhaps is the way that this must be done and is not as easy as making just lines. I thought that the spirograph lines by uberzev was made by a continous series of joined dots and so it was built the shapes. |

Uberzev's spirograph uses a shape, be it a line or a dot or a shape or even a whole image, and does it's magic on it.
In my example above, I use a small, off center circle. Then I feed it to the script once, only to have a ring of dots. The number of itterations controls how many dots are in the ring. All I use is the rotation + blending. Then I feed the result to another instance of the script. This time I use rotation, shrinking and blending to get each dot to spiral towards the center. The reason it's slow, is because the script is slow, and I use it twice. In fact, to make the examples you have shown at the top, I need to run the result through the script yet again, to get the different colors. I'm sure there's a better way to do this, but I'm just not smart enough to understand how everything works up to the script. If you look at uberzev's filter, there's all kinds of mysterious magical components that feed the script with stuff to blend. While I can hack around the original filter to get it to do what I want, I don't necessarily know what I'm doing ![]() |

It must exist another way to do this. But I like your example with dots Morgan. Just one thing : to put a bit more space between the last dot's rings. You shoulb be upload this uber filter with the dots when you get ready. I love it very much. Sure that Spaceray will want this filter too.

This IS uberBlend
![]() Problem is it's got to run the script twice (3 times for colors), so it's SLOOOOOW. Please uber-wan kenobi, you're the only one that can help us! ![]() |

Ghislaine good work, like it, now lets see how it rotates and spirals the dots.

Good thing Ghislaine, perhaps the example you have done here means the steps you need to take from the beginning to the end.
I found a beautiful dots spiral design that reminds me much from your designs with your latest filters ![]() ![]() Although this is done with vectors and not with bitmap graphics as in FF |
