Good and well done seeing it go round, but would be even better if the lines could be animated and not still as you have done on another example made before

FFBatch is only for MAC, so Windows users can´t do it smile;) smile:D unless using the other online batch tool.

Considering I did this animation on Windows with ffbatch, that seems inaccurate. Unless you meant it the other way 'round.

I rotate it from the top view before tilting it back in perspective and smudging for height.

There are actually two separate images used, one for the height, one for the color: The height information has the four corners of each unit at different levels and the color information source has them at the same height so I can map flat colors onto each face.

I'm using Sphinx's method to offset the Lookup coordinates rather than the image directly, which makes it smoother.

The grid lines and the folds are really supposed to line up, but since smudge is somewhat see-through, it introduces some inaccuracies in the height map, as you can clearly see here:
