Hi,
I would like to give the user a choice between using the image or selection, is there a way to do that?

BTW, I just found the 'Blend' component - now I am starting to feel at home.

try a switch with a checkbox
the only downside is that even if you choose the image (via the checkbox) as input, the selection alert will still be shown (if there's no selection there will be a nice yellow warning right in the middle of your screen)

A Switch or a Blend with a checkbox connected to Opacity, selection to Background and image to Foreground.

I realize I could have found this answer by searching the archives so next time I will be sure to try that first - or I could have figured it out on my own.
