Marilyn Monroe look-alike (?), faceted. The exact look is probably difficult to duplicate, however I have an idea. If the idea looks promising, I'll post an image here otherwise I will admit defeat smile;)

I'm posting something that's not even close to what you are looking for. I think that triangle faceting is beyond the scope of the bomber component. I will post a silly result here, this is a Triangulation 3 variant with different patterns and some randomness. Anything else I do with this experiment will go over in Chaos Fields.

Saw you post over on StudioArtist User's forum.

FilterForge at this point can't exactly achieve the look, although as an alternative this program can get you your triangle-y look. The outlined / shaded appearance will probably best be achieved via manual work.

It's also sometimes best done manually rather than through a computer. Computers in general are absolutely terrible with achieving specific appearances. Most cases your brain and some basic skill of Photoshop achieves stuff faster than computers can process an image. There are exceptions to this of course.

But either way, got some nice suggestions above to also look into! Best of luck smile:)

Here's what the free version of Dmesh does with the same Marilyn image. A great effect but... virtually no control over it, so what you see is what you get. Also I could not get it to draw just lines, it seems to always fill the facets with color.

with Filter Forge you can tweak components <if you know what are you changing< , and that level of interactivity makes it so fun to use.
I hope you guys come with clever and cool solutions!

Delaunay Triangulation thread in FF started in 2009

Yes all this faceted polygons is called DELAUNAY TRIANGULATION and you see it in google, there has been already a thread about this topic in FF but seems to be difficult to make in FF

There are at least 4 apps for ipad that are able to do use this technique
