hello. i have created a brick filter which is a cream colored brick with grey mortar.

when viewing the filter, i have a color swatch for the brick face, i use this to change fr om the cream color to red or brown etc... then i save out the diffuse map and normal map. when i leave this filter and come back to it later, i find that the original cream color has returned, it's no longer the brown or red that i changed it to.

1. i know that inside the filter editor i can add HSL sliders... the same thing happens, i leave the fitler and come back later, it's the original color and HSL that was set in the filter editor

2. i know that the filter editor is wh ere you can change "base characteristics" and when you save that filter from the filter editor, that's the default

3. i also know about variations, but i'm going to have to look into that, how to do that

ultimately i'd like to know if there is a way to create a new filter or somehow save that new color that i have picked... the brown or red.

thanks!

ah! i figured it out! i just add a preset (which i called variation above). once that preset is added, i can adjust the brick color, right click on the new preset and choose 'upd ate prese t' and that saves it for later. nice.
