Please I wonder if It would be possible to make an animation of fast flipping images and have 20 images input to show one image in each frame in one second
To show an example of what I mean here is a Mayterials animation flipping fast I know that Filter Forge 11-12 is able to do procedural animation instead of keyframe animation, and this animation I am tryunt to do is obviously keyframe, so I really do not know if It would be possible to make in some possible way I thought to make It in Bomber plus with repeat slot at 1 value but does not work as I thought or maybe I am I doing It wrong Please, can the FF team or anyone else may know if this would be possible ? Thanks very much. Best wishes |

Yes, it's possible. Here is the snippet to do it in FF12. I did it at 10 fps, easier to look at. Warning! Can cause dizziness and avoid if you have epilepsy.

WOW!! you have been able to do it and works perfectly and exactly as I wanted, and using a clever and unusual way to do it. I admire all the things you can do and is great your experience and skills, also with the latest filters that you are creating. Thanks very much for your great help and is much appreciated Although I do not understand it, well I understand it but do not know why and how it works, but is not needed to know how it works. I think that it would be good to make it available in the library for all to enjoy and use and do not get lost in the forum as this is very good and interesting.
Yes, is true that in this way it looks much better and as you say well, it is easier to see the images themselves at slower speed.
Oh YES! Is true that I am sorry that I did not notice and remember that this kind of fast flipping images can be bad to some people. |

Thanks for your nice remarks. You can think of the Current Frame component as a kind of self contained loop. The code is run over and over again for each frame. Current Frame returns a HDR number between 1 and 20. The Switch components expect a HDR value between 0 and 9 at the Selector green input (Source 1 uses value 0, Source 10 uses value 9). The Subtract components put the value from the Current Frame in the correct format for each of the switches. The 1st switch is for the first 10 frames, the 2nd switch for the last 10 frames as determined by the If-Then-Else component. Does this make sense? I will probably put it out as a Snippet, a good idea. Thanks for your encouragement. Math meets art meets psychedelia. |
