I am probably missing something simple.
Bomber plus is an enjoyable tool to use but how do I get two images into it ( Think of scattered cats and dogs as a result image )
Extrapolation to N images should then be one for the reader as they say.

Here is how to ins ert two images in a Bomber Plus.
You should use a Color input and sele ct an image instead of a color.

Many thanks Ramlyn. I hoped it would be something simple.
I managed to create a method where the separate images were actually taken from a single combined image by scaling and shifting but that gets complicated when the Size parameter is changed - lots of slaves needed !

Yes, that can be a solution too. Combining several images together to compose a big squared image, and then using Free Rectangle components to make selections to feed in a Bomber Plus using a Map Switch.

QUESTION 1 Do you mean that you use a single image with a grid of multiple images?

QUESTION 2 Are you trying to use this as a look up table, to sel ect individually images from that grid?

QUESTION 3 How have you done it yourself in your filter to see if we can help you in some way?

There is already available a filter made fr om Rachel Duim that is able to use a grid of images as input

Grid image input by Rachel Duim that can use grid images to input

This filter reads an image set up as a grid of smaller images.
The smaller images must be all be the same size and recommended square
The grid can be any dimension up to 8x8.
The grid image can be non-square as long as the pixel dimensions are correct. 5x3 for example.
The smaller images are used as randomized particles to Bomber+.
If the grid is portrait or landscape, the Portrait/Landscape checkbox must be checked for proper results.

This filter is the final result of This thread shown here that gives more information on how the filter was made and to see if it may be perhaps useful for you

I used a technique we used to use on web sites many years ago - so yes it sounds very similar...
uploading a single image file with a grid of different images so that one would be selected ( by offset shift ) according to the state of the interaction with the user.
The difficulty I found with bomber was the interaction with slaves.
Thanks for the offer of help - but I shall not carry on with that idea as using images in the colour is much easier smile:)
Also good to know that one has been produced by another of our talented authors - if I need it in the future.
