I want to give the user the option to select between a number of different color schemes using the 5 color gradient component. How do I set this as a setting? I would like a way to allow the user to select his own 5 colors or to use one of the pre-built gradients I have set up.

			Any ideas? |

			kyle,

i can think of 2 ways to do this. you could set up multiple 5 color gradient components and plug them into a switch component and let the user switch between them or, you could plug 'color' controls into each of the 5 colors on the 5 color gradient component. the 'color' controls show up in the user interface and can be changed then. If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

I can't seem to get the switch component to accept a direct connection from the gradients as it only accepts curves as source inputs.

I guess I'll make the other color schema presets so that the idea is planted. This might make a good wishlist item, being able to select from one of the gradient sets.

Try this..There are 2 different switch components. The one for use with the curves and then this one..

By the way, here is what I've been working on so you can see what I mean. Just submitted it to the library so it should show up there at some point. It's a mod of Burninator that I've changed enough that I figured I'd give it a new name with credit, of course, to the original designer.

The difference with this one is that it renders against a transparent background which is very useful to me. Burning Inside.ffxml |
