Since I started using FF I've had the feeling that Valdimir and the guys 'n girls hadn't put in all those blue curve thingies just to look pretty.
They are not at all intuitive - sometimes giving a quite unexpected reponse - but I'm sure that there's a lot of power hidden in there. I set myself a challenge of doing a Flat Tiling Filter using curves. Thanks to, or in spite of, a couple of beers ![]() Hope you find this interesting. Anybody have any good examples of using curves? Yes, curves can be very powerful -- just try them with Perlin Noise.
Well, the curves themselves work exactly the same way as Photoshop's Curves adjustment -- the only difference is that our curves are generated parametrically. |
