Hello: How do I add a snippet?

I have been having so much fun working with the wonderful filters created by the community. I am slowly grasping some of the things to do. This is using DrEvil's beautiful Leather Emboss filter. I added image nodes as well as working with heights and working the image (which is a photoshop stained glass piece I made using real scans of stained glass) to work with the height levels set in the filter.



My question is: is there a way to add one of the marvelous snippets from the library to another filter to play with its effects or do I need to rebuild from scratch as I am still trying to understand everything.
