Hi folks, you know you guys are experts and it can be easy for you, but for me I always get hard time trying to combine stuffs. If is there any tutorial about it I'll appreciate any link.
I'm trying to combine the two outputs below. How would I achieve that result out of the node. I've tried the blend component, but it doesn't get the result that I want to: (See the attached file below) Thanks in advance. ![]() |

use a blend. put the current blend into the foreground of the new one and the frame into the background. set the opacity at 100% on the new blend. i think that shld work.

Yeah, seems like just blending them at 100% with screen or lighten should work fine really.

Hey Lucato..Try maybe setting up another frame component with the settings that you have then put the blend that you have now through the contents of the new frame component..You might have to put in an invert and mess with he colors to get it to blend right....Also click the proportional and the Fixed Size so it stay at the circle..
If this does not work post the filter that you have the question about.. ![]() ![]() Stupid things happen to computers for stupid reasons at stupid times! |

Thanks for your help. no-name2.ffxml |

Well I did a couple of different ways to accomplish this but only came up with one that seems the simplest way that I found anyway to do this...Using like jffe and Craig said about the blend component and using the blend mode of multiply..Use the output from that tone curve with the shape as the opacity...You can always produce a second version of that tone curve branch to control the opacity if needed...

Heres the filter..I have added a frame component at the end of the tree to cut off the tips of the spokes...Looks like thats what you had in the example...If not just delete it...

Thanks C, I appreciated that. I'll study it. Maybe FF team would add a new component to make this operations easier.
A component TRANSFORM with the options: Add Subtract Intersect Exclude Well, somethink like that. Thanks once again for your help. All the best. |

oh, i see why that didnt work (my suggestion). ok, this is a masking problem. you already have the elements you need for it. take a look at this:
and dont mind all the garbage components i left in there. that was just to show you other ideas and to show how much trouble i had in figuring out the masking. lol. no-name2 by lucato rev 1 by craig.ffxml If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

Hey Craig, what's up? Thanks for your reply and messed file.
![]() I'm sorry but you didn't get to reach what I want. Your final result isn't the same as I'd like too. Check the attached image in my first post in this thread. Thanks anyway for your try. |

Hey ThreeDee, thanks for your reply.
Yup, that is exactly what I want. I didn't get to undestand why this opacity work this way, but that's ok. It works. ;0) ThreeDee, actually it was my fault, CFandM had already got the solution and I forgot to post here that the thread is solvead. Anyway it is cool to see other possibilities that somebody can come up with. Thanks for the file. Cheers. |

That's for sure ThreeDee. Two heads thinks better than one. Or I would say CFandM and ThreeDee thinks better than Lucato. Hehehe.
Btw, I didn't mean I don't want your file. I just don't want to spend the others free time if the case is solved. Just it. I hope you didn't get me wrong. Have a nice weekend. |

No -- I just didn't realize it was already sorted out. Took all of one minute of my time.
Besides, what else would I be doing on my FF time...? ![]() ![]() |
