Hi !
As a newbie, can we have an easy tutorial for filter editor. Because the one you offer, and took 1 or 2 hours, is very nice and useful but hard for newbies. I'm lost when I try to create a filter. An easy and short one should be helpful for us. So please, casn you create one more easy ? I thank in advance the person who will create a new easy tutorial. ![]() visit https://gisoft.ca |

there are many helps within the community and within FF itself. i think every versioin of FF has a 'help' menu item. click on that and look for 'filter editor'. that opens up and gives lots of helpful data. it may not be up to date for FF3 beta; i dont know. but, it is the first place to look.
the second place to look is here on the website. go to the main page and pick the tabbed item 'more'. look down that page to 'support' and you'll see some helpful items there. and the third place i'd look is a search of the forums here. i dont recall a lot of tutorials posted here, but the folks here tend to be very helpful. but, do a search first; no one likes to answer questions repeatedly that are already available in the various helps. but, it would be nice to have a nice written book type manual with lots of pictures and lots of examples. if someone wants to pay me enough... ![]() If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

Ok, I found the help menu, etc.that I have never seen before.
You are right because the folks are very helpful. I'm a newbie with FF, but when I can help, I do only if I have an answer to give. You are right once again for the written manual with lots of images, as we are, as artists, visual persons. And it is more easy for understanding. Must I hope and wish that FF will ask you and pay you for this "future" user manual ! I hope that Vladimir will read this post and reply positively. ![]() I have an handicap : it is not easy for me to understand very well the tutorial because it is not in my langage. So images are very helpful and welcomed. visit https://gisoft.ca |

In addition to the help file, there is also the Wiki, which contains some helpful articles for novice users: [*]The DOs and DON'Ts of Filter Construction [*]Beginner's Cookbook --- Crapadilla says: "Damn you, stupid redundant feature requests!" ;) |
