9-slice scaling success!

Well, it wasn't all that easy with just the pixel-based components so I ended up using the Script component, but it works perfectly.
The idea is that you construct a 600x600 element as the base image, fix it to 600 pixels with one Script component, then slice it into 9 with top, bottom, left and right value sliders and then another Script component stretches the image when you create a new image of different dimension.

Example: I created a frame at 600x600 fr om a couple of free rectangles, the inner of which hold an image. I then sliced it wh ere the guides are shown.

Another approach is to create the image elsewhere and use the filter to scale it.

This "banner" was made in Illustrator and saved as png. Imported to FF through the color component and sliced.

And one more example.

A 600x600 Photoshop window created in Photoshop, sliced in FF.

(To clarify, the filter makes just one of those windows at a time. I've composited several of them in PS so as to make one example image with different sizes.)

Is there a way you can round off the edges within the inner frame? Make the diagonal pieces within more rounded or oval shape. Would look more organic. IMHO.

The changes: Pyramids changed to formula F3. Pyramid scaling reduced. Colors changed in frame to get rid of bright horizontal lines at top & bottom. Solid Fill is a good option, Flat is not. IMHO. Changed Ellipse to Free Polygon to allow square inner frames (can modify later to Free Rectangle & Free Ellipse if you need seamless). Changed version to 10.002.

Hey! Great stuff. Dialing down the frame gradient was spot on. The only thing i've done to mine sofar is to turn the margin back on add a alpha component a color component and a click box so you can turn the background on and off. I'm glad your having fun with my little filter.
