Generate a curve or gradient map like the one seen here...
![]() ![]() Rules: -Random -Periodic (tiles properly) -Angles vary -Up/Down/Up/Down pattern (every time) -Every point in unique vertical position -Possible for "valleys" to be higher than "mountains" -Horizontal spacing mostly homogenous. My solution to the problem involves a cell noise, checker, and a profile gradient. But I wanted to see if someone had a more clever solution. *Note the attachment is my untouched Curve To Shape filter which will let you output your curve as an image... I was going "Oh it shouldn't be that hard" and I was so wrong.
Periodic (tiles properly) <--- I get stuck here. |

the second one is easy, i've done it many times. not sure of the first. profile gradient and 3 or 5 color gradient, threshold (i think. doing this fr om memory) you could probably alos use that new curve component, the one wh ere you set the points.
If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!
