From what i understand and have seen of what FF is capable of, making GUI buttons would be a fairly easy thing to accomplish. For Example:

Hey thanks that looks great, yeah thats just the type of thing i wanted, i havent had much free time yet but im going to try and work out how to raise certain parts of the pannel and have indents/grooves ect, im guessing if i fill the whole pannel with a grey then have the indents as darker and rises as white/lighter then give it a plastic/metalic texture that could look great, i wonder if its possible to use an imported image from photoshop like this and use it as a template type thing. should be fun

Anyone else using FF for non texture uses? Tonight im going to stay up so i will probably make a few. Is there any way to downsize a shape either in H or V directions? Like make a square to a rectangle type thing?

No, i mean like a solid shape this would be, like a website type pill button shape, like for example you start with a rounded square, then convert this to a rectangle pill (smaller in vertical size) like a filter that applys a resize but keeps the shape and without repeating the shape.

You could use the frame component with fixed size on and play with the corners slider. If you used a rectangular image on a frame component with corners set to 100, it would give you a perfectly pill shaped button of that size.

Here is a simple button that I made with frame components. Nothing spectacular, but it's one possible technique. I was exploring some alternatives to how I created buttons in my Power Button filter.

I just made this slider button which is ok i guess, im not amazing at filter building though, but the structures fairly complex for how simple it looks, i will post the filter to the library soon

Coming along nicely. The second one appears to be unsure whether he would like to be graphical or realistic tho!
