If I understand right what GMM have written, then it seems that all the Filter Forge components are divided and separated into two groups in the same way as the filters are separated, so there may be Texture Components and Effects components. I did not know that this was this way, so now I wonder Which are Texture Components and which ones Effects components? As I can see the only ones I can guess are Color Controls and Image component as Effects components because they are related to input images that is not possible in the Texture filters. Is important to know the difference between these components? Or maybe they are only important for the submit wizard and submit server as it seems from the thread in the first link above |

A filter is considered an Effect filter if it uses at least one component that provides access to external data, such as Image, Selection, Average Color, Minimum Level, Maximum Level or Color Control with external images enabled.
If a filter doesn't use any components that require external data, it is considered a Texture filter. (there is a help section about that, pretty outdated) |
