I was how I can keep the Layer's Before Colors to stay with the img after the Edited Filter is applied..Which Component would even do that?

I don't imagine there is a universal solution to retaining colors. How you resolve the issue is really dependent on what the filter does.
For instance, you could extract the hue component of an image using the HSL extract component and later composite it with your result. But that would only work in cases where the image isn't distorted. |

Filter Forge has components for working with the HSY color model (see the Channels category). Basically, you can assemble the final picture using the Hue(H) and Saturation(S) of the 'before' pic, and the Lightness(Y) of the 'after' pic.
Also, the 'Color' blending mode of the Blend component can do this -- use the 'after' pic as a background, and the 'before' pic as a foreground, this will produce the same effect as I described above for the HSY model. |
