I am not as strong at pure mathematics as I would like to be. I can't seam to tell if any of these pentagonal tilings can be made seamless.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pentagon_tiling One of the tilings does seem to have a method of being drawn seamless http://www.craftsmanspace.com/free-pa...ttern.html Has anyone played with Filter Forge to create seamless tiling from pentagons? |

I can see that the Cairo tiling is actually two 6 sided hexagons overlapping, one at 90 degrees to the other. The Prismatic tiling is also a hexagon bisected and then offset. So those should be doable, plenty of hexagons here. With Inujima's "Hyperbolic tiling v1.ffxml" non-euclidean tiling was constructed.

The Cairo Tiling wasn't that tough once I found the relative dimensions of things: Cairo Tiling Grid
Not sure this is the best method, but... Cairo Tiling.ffxml |
