I'm new to FF, just started last week.

I found a nice filter I would like to modify, however I don't know how to get rid of the Pelin Noise yet keep the all the other effects.

I had deleted some parts and thought i had it but after 3 days of rasterizing it was less than half done so I stopped it.

The Filter I want to modify is 3D Reflective Squiggly Loops Photo Effect v2.0.

I like the 3D glossy metallic effect, but I want the effect on the entire photo, NO Squiggly Loops. I emailed the creator days ago and no reply.

Can anyone help me or point me in the right direction, remember this is all NEW to me.

Thanks

^ Just bypass everything that makes this filter what it is basically.

jffe

Added : If you want the squiggle design without the 'holes', then just bypass the threshold module. And you can kill the offset and switch too, since the shadow isn't going to have any useful effect without the holes.

Personally, I'd at least throw a slider control on the blur, make it (range limited) adjustable from 0.5 to 2 or 3, instead of just set at 1 or whatever. At least that way you can change the bubble effect a bit.

Hey Phototec. Sorry about not getting back to you by Email. My Yahoo Email account is screwed up. smile:( Anyway, Im not really sure what your trying to do here. If you just want a filter that puts a reflective surface on your image then there are lots of filters in the library that do that. Go through the filter library and download everything that looks like what you want and study them. That's a lot of what I did in the beginnig.

Look at this. The Perlin noise has 5 profile adjustments.

jffe,

Thank you so much for taking time to show me this modification to the 3D Reflective Squiggly Loops Photo Effect v2.0 filter, that is exactly the effect I wanted. I wanted my photo to have all aspects of the 3D Reflective Squiggly Loops Photo Effect v2.0 filter without the Squiggly Loops and holes. I made all the changes you indicated however, the result was a little different with my photo.

DJI, Thanks for responding, I really like your filter (3D Reflective Squiggly Loops Photo Effect v2.0) and how it makes the photo look 3D & Reflective, I just don't want the Squiggly Loops and holes, I'm NEW to FF and don't really know what I am doing yet, everything about FF is strange to me, hopefully I can lean and make filters like you and others.

I did try and bypass everything that showed the Squiggly Loops (Perlin noise) in your filter, and the result showed what looked like your filter without the Squiggly Loops, however after 3 days of rasterizing, the image was not half completed, so I stopped the process.

I see you have several similar filters with this same 3D reflective look, however they all have some sort of patterns or shapes also, I wish you had the same filter as 3D Reflective Squiggly Loops Photo Effect v2.0, but without any shapes or patterns.

Similar to the example posted by jffe (attached).

Simple Surface

^ This is what I meant, just the most basic surface reflection type of effect filter. Download or right click and open with FF.

DJI, thanks but that's not the same, it again has a TEXTURE pattern, didn't want any added texture or patterns. jffe's Simple Surface is what I was looking for.
