2018 Technique called ‘orbit trapping’ to map an image into fractal

Already in 2012 I suggested to make this technique that was made by Subblue artist

Now in 2018 there is still no filter that can do it as far as I know, so I wonder if it could be possible to be made using the new features that have been added to FF 7 (and previous) for be able to get this cool and amazing effect

Sphinx already made a filter to show that it was surely possible, but the filter was never available



So now I wonder if this is still possible to be done using the new FF 7 features

Sphinx made it just with one image source. But I suggested if possible to be able to use more than image as source, maybe up to 3 or 4 or whatever amount it may be possible
