I think that the Randomizer has a bug. The Randomizer is a fantastic tool, which I often use (some of Topaz PlugIns do have it as well).
The great thing in FF (as opposed to Topaz), is that the strength of the randomization can be regulated through the popUp menu besides the button 'Next variant'.

Now the bug : after going through some variants in 'High' or 'Medium randomization' mode and hitting upon something I like, I switch to 'Low randomization' mode, in order to stay near the settings I like. But the next randomization step is in the mode that I had selected before (High or medium) and only the second time I click in Low randomization mode, it is carried out in Low mode. So, after having arrived at something I like, I go to Low mode and click again, which takes me far of what I had and only starts then to make variants in that neighborhood, but the variant I had liked (to work on further) has disappeared.

I though I had come up with a remedy : sel ect Low mode, make a new variant (which is far off), click 'Back' (which brings me to the variant I liked) and click again 'Next variant'. It does not work. Also here, the first 'Next variant' takes me far from home, only to make variations in Low mode then.

The same goes with adjusting the Settings until something I like and then applying Low Randomization. The fist Variant is again miles off the settings I had adjusted. Only fr om the second variant on, the changes are small.

I am afraid I have to stand corrected smile:-)

All of a sudden the Randomization works as it should. I have no idea what was the matter with FF or probably with me before. I had tested it about 50 times and with different filters.
I will do some more tests, but for the moment I retract my previous post.
I will make a simple test filter. Maybe the filters I tested are too complicated, to many possibilities, so one switch my have thrown over the overall appearance of the result.
