Recently Skybase showed me an example filter that slices an external image vertically into 10 parts and uses each as the desired effect's particle source. (Filter: https://www.filterforge.com/filters/10265.htmlhttps://www.filterforge.com/filters/10265.html)
This filter is great but it only slices image vertically.
I wonder if it is possible to give the user the Row / Column slice amount option at the same time using loops.
Imagine I have 25 different glyphs given in one image. (like 5X5 grid image. Please check image link:

It's beyond my Filter Forge knowledge currently so I've decided to ask. I tried to make the first steps using curves and Curves to Shapes snippet. I guess it works as a single slice equally divided curves with using RGB Math.

I know it's possible to cut a certain amount of cuts using offset. But It would be even more useful and open for users to set Row/Column slice amounts.
Or maybe Map Script can help.
Thank you.

Here is an example with user controllable slice count. This one uses a bomber, picking a random tile per particle, but you can modify it for other purposes too. Is this what you were looking for?

Rachel Duim have made a filter that is able to cut a grid of source images, although I do not know if this is what you want

You can see it here

Grid input by Rachel Duim

There is also another filter that is able to cut a single image vertically and horizontally but I do not remember now where is it

I think this is closer but my aim is to have for example a 5x5 grid image like in the link:

I want to pick each particle unit by original images luminosity values.

Is it possible to add luminosity conditional? For example if the original image's luminosity value is below 20, pick 1x2 of the given particle source image and etc.
Why I want is because I have real light bulb or led HDR images. And using these 32 or 16-bit images incrementally makes these kinds of simulations look more realistic.
Right now, if it's limited it would be enough to control 3x3, 4x4, or 5x5 particle source image as well.

In other words if I couldn't describe myself; pick the 5x5th of grid partially if the original images the same area is above %90.

Sure, this version is modified to work with luminosity mapping. You can change the tile count from 1x1 to 10x10. Don't forget to also check enable HDR in the color control, if you're using hdr images. Hopefully this works as intended.

Emme you're great, once again thank you for your support. It really helps people who are trying to learn and discover the power of Filter Forge like me.
I think with your solution it has already started to be a great and useful filter. Before I submit it to library I'd like you to check it.
I've created two tile examples from 32-Bit HDR images:
3x3 -
4x4 -

After optimizations and applying your suggestions, I'll try to make guidelines about how to create tile images in photoshop using Contact Sheet X 2.2 Script (by xtools) for better and easier creation.

Imagine it will support 10x10 so 100 Glyphs for example if used for alphabets or etc.
