Is it possible to program a filter by entering shapes in black and white, which then creates a metal scifi wall, also possible in selected colors? Could somebody do this for me?

Thank you for the advice! However, it is not exactly what I was looking for. I would like to predetermine colour fields which are then converted into scifi fields. That big amount of detail is not required.

Hi Fifoiclone,
Short answer is 'kind of'. You can definitely make the first two, or create something similar to the last one. One of the things that would be hard would be to create the up and down surface topology. With something like this, the underlying shapes are being made with a noise in filter forge. Then, it's using those to decide color, the location of bolts, the inner panels, the direction of the wear, etc. ![]() So, your input image might need to be something with, say, photoshop's 'bevel and emboss' turned on to give it some shape. One of the problems with doing it this way is that photoshop's input gradients can be a bit not-totally smooth. |
